Star Inn

DQ and other restaurants are easy to reach on foot, Domino will deliver right to your room, and there’s a big Dollar General about a 5-minute drive away for longer stays. The room was clean from the bed to the bathroom, and the location was really convenient. We’re especially grateful to the owner for her support. Whatever help you ask for, they’re happy to provide it.

The owners made us feel like family, and even their kids would come over and give us hugs. The staff were super friendly and checked that each day of our stay was going well. If we needed fresh bedding or the room cleaned, they took care of it right away. After being forced to leave the Kenedy apartment where I’d lived for 17 years because the new owner raised the rent to an unrealistic amount, I spent three months at the Star motel. It was a great, problem-free move. I’d rate this place six stars out of five.

I spent 4.5 years here, and the management feels like family to me now. They even feed the people staying there on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s comfortable and quiet, though nothing extravagant. They’re pleasant to talk to and will go out of their way to work with an honest person. If my wife and I have to leave where we are, I’ll definitely come back.

The rooms felt a little dated, but they were very clean. I stayed one night a while back, and it was peaceful and quiet. The service was great too, the lady was really nice and easygoing.
