I booked the wrong dates and realized within 12 hours, even though check-in was still many hours away and I’d only made the booking less than 12 hours earlier. They still wouldn’t refund the day I was meant to check in, so I had to pay for a service I never received. They did reluctantly refund the rest of the stay.

We ended up eating breakfast elsewhere because the selection was very limited and the food wasn’t good. You also have to eat in the lobby, since you can’t take food to your room. When I checked out at 11 am, I waited quite a while before anyone came to the desk. The good points were the price, location, clean premises, a comfortable bed, and a nice receptionist. I won’t be back, though. The stay was highly unsatisfactory. I’d booked one night to visit family in Katy and checked into a first-floor king room around 4 pm. It was extremely bright, smelled of cigarette smoke, and had only a sheer pull-up window covering. The blackout blind was missing. At first, the receptionist said there were no other rooms, then offered to put a blanket over the window. I agreed, though that wasn’t an acceptable fix, and waited in the room. My husband then found the blind roll in the closet. We checked under the mattress for bed bugs and found a lot of trash under the bed instead. When the receptionist brought the blanket, I showed her the trash and said we’d wait in the lobby until the blind was fixed and the room cleaned. She said she’d move us to another room. I agreed because I wanted to get settled, but was frustrated that I’d been told no room was available. The third-floor king room had a blind that wouldn’t close properly, so it never got dark. I killed three German roaches there and found another floating in the toilet the next morning. The blanket was itchy against my skin unless I kept the sheet between us. The room looked institutional, had no mirror outside the bathroom and no luggage stand.

The bathroom shower was moldy, and the showerhead had rust and other buildup on it. There was toilet paper already in the toilet, the fridge wasn’t cleaned properly, and the bedsheets were stained. The little kitchen beside the bed was filthy too, with some kind of oily mess on the wall. My son used the restroom and came out with black knuckles, and I don’t know how that happened. The heavy cleaner smell was so strong it gave everyone headaches and itchy throats. It seemed to mask other smells. Outside our room, the roof looked like it was basically caving in. There were also creepy, weird men staying there, so don’t walk around alone. Stay away.

The lobby absolutely reeked of cigarettes. My bathroom had roaches, the bed covers were stained, and there were little sticks on the bed. Tiny bugs were all over the floor, with a squashed bug on the wall, like nobody had cleaned it. This place is filthy and not worth booking.
