Hyatt Place Houston/Katy

The free breakfast was better than what we’ve had at hotels in a similar price range, and the towels felt softer than those at comparable places. The bed was soft and comfortable, too. We also liked being able to leave the fan on overnight, since it helped mask the noise from outside our room.

I spent 10 days visiting Katy/Houston over Thanksgiving, and this was one of my best hotel stays. The room was peaceful, comfortable, and lovely, and it was cleaned and sanitized every day. Staff were kind and respectful. Breakfast was fresh and lovely, with everything you could want in the morning. The stay added so much joy to my Texas trip.

I planned to stay just one night, but liked the room and property enough to extend my visit. The hotel is beautiful and clean, with large, comfortable rooms and excellent, friendly staff. Special thanks to Stacy & David for making me feel so welcome. Their warm hospitality was wonderful.

We booked on 5 Jan for the night of 14 Jan, and learned only two hours before check-in that their advertised “pet friendly” policy meant dog friendly. I understand the policy to some degree. What upset me was that they had nine days to let me know they couldn’t accommodate me and my pets. The receptionist said they don’t review reservations until check-in day, leaving travelers like me at the mercy of a flawed system. I’d just left Eglin AFB to PCS to Arizona and was about six hours into our nine-hour drive to Houston when they canceled our reservation. Luckily, the Hilton down the road had rooms and really was pet friendly. I’ve stayed at many Hyatt’s, but after this, I won’t choose one for a long time.
