The bright, colorful lobby and rooms have a fun modern-art feel, and my room was spotless with a gleaming bathroom. The friendly staff made me feel welcome right away. I was in town for work training and found it clean, comfortable, and functional. There’s a good snack and drink selection in the lobby, plus plenty of food nearby. The hotel is next to County Fire Station #1, and I heard a siren once around 6 a.m. They seemed considerate of the neighborhood, and I still slept well. I’d happily stay again for a business trip.

The hotel is spotless, so cleanliness isn’t something you need to worry about. The staff are 11/10, some of the sweetest people in the service industry. Cierra at the service desk is especially kind and accommodating, and makes sure guests are comfortable.

After our long drive from Pensacola, the shower’s great water pressure felt so good. The liquid soap, lotion, and shampoo provided in the room were much appreciated too. It was a nice, clean place, and the bed was the most comfortable we’ve slept in at any hotel over the past year.

The hotel was clean, and the front desk was somewhat helpful, but I won’t stay here again or recommend it. At about 10:30 p.m., I noticed the room wouldn’t cool below 70 or 71 degrees, even when I tried setting the AC to 68. The front desk moved me to another floor, saying there wasn’t a policy locking the temperature, but the same thing happened in the new room. I’ve stayed at other Tru hotels. Even though it’s fall in Texas, I want to be able to set the AC where I like.

Our high-ceilinged room was more spacious than I expected, and it had all the amenities we needed. Karen at reception was warm and provided great customer service. We felt very welcome, and I loved our stay.
