Holly Hill Motel

It's fine for a night's sleep and a shower, though it could use more atmosphere. The TV did work, once we turned it on at the set itself and then used the remote. I wish the place were cleaner, or cheaper. There was evidence of other people on the walls and doors, especially by the hand and face towel hook. The TVs need something that won't leave streaks that look like greasy marks, and the mirrors should be cleaned right to the top. There were cobwebs too.

The listing said each room came with a pot of coffee, but there was no pot and no coffee at all. They also wanted a $25 deposit, for what? I should've gone to the Best Western!

There was a smoke smell in the room, and being right beside a highway means you should expect noise. I never got my deposit back. I called several times and spoke with the same man each time. He eventually said it had been refunded, so I asked him to email proof, but he said he would and never did. I definitely wouldn't stay here again.

The inside was better than the outside, and the place was clean. The beds were rock hard, with the thinnest pillows ever, but the HVAC was strong. Parking was limited. Basic lodging.
