I come here often and am generally very pleased. It’s a decent, no-frills place to get away, and the price has been worth it for my stays. There’s a shopping center right next door with Target, Home Depot, Barnes & Noble, Five Below, and more. Being by the road means some traffic noise, though it’s not chaotic. The rooms aren’t soundproof, but they’re quiet enough. I usually get the same room. This time, there was a smell like oil, WD-40, or some sort of cleaner when we first walked in. It faded after a few minutes, but came back whenever we entered the room. When I asked for an extra towel, staff brought one right away and were very kind. Breakfast is basic but available: bagels, eggs, sausages, yogurt, and coffee. They don’t have hot water for tea, so you have to microwave the water in your cup. I like the satellite TV because there are more channels than regular cable, and I could connect my Roku to watch Netflix or whatever I wanted. My only real complaint is the small square bed pillows instead of normal-shaped ones.

This is a good, budget-friendly option, with the Keene, NH area’s attractions nearby. Breakfast comes with the stay and is what you’d expect at this price point. I’d stay again when I’m in the area.

The front desk guy who checked us in was the best part, really kind and patient. This was the cheapest hotel around, but still too expensive for what it is. I spent 30 minutes there and am still wondering whether the smell, which I assume was mold, hurt my lungs. The water did get hot eventually, after at least five minutes, and the pressure was great. I was honestly afraid we’d leave with bedbugs, but I’m glad to say I think we’re safe. Next time I’d pay the extra $50 and stay somewhere else. I spent years deep in drug addiction before the Lord delivered me, and I’ve now been clean for seven years. This hotel was about the level I could afford when I was a junkie. I’m thankful for a bed, a hot shower, and electricity, even though the pillows were tiny and uncomfortable. But I don’t have to live that way anymore, praise Jesus!

The breakfast isn’t anything to write home about, but there is some: waffles, toast, bagels, and English muffins you can make yourself. What stands out after staying at every hotel in this area over the past year is the people running this place. They’re peerless, absolutely peerless. I told the front desk staff my laborer was sick and I wanted to bring him food. Their kindness was so moving that I’m writing this review. They made waffles for him and his girlfriend, packed syrup and butter separately, and sent me off with two plates for his house, all out of pure generosity. I’ve been coming here on and off for well over a year, and this is the only hotel in the area I’d recommend to friends. Five stars, even 25 stars. The hotel’s condition isn’t the reason. It’s the staff. Don’t overlook this place before you’ve met them. Their rare kindness is what makes it a luxury, whatever the building’s condition.

The room is tiny, and daily service only seems to cover taking the garbage and changing the bathroom towels. Breakfast is like any other hotel’s, with coffee as the only decent part. I get internet outside, but lose it as soon as I approach or enter the building, which forces me onto the worst Wi-Fi I’ve ever used. I wouldn’t keep staying here if work weren’t so close and my company weren’t paying for the room.
