I was there for a week, and the location was just right. The historic house is lovely, everything was clean, and there was plenty of bureau space for my things. The bed was comfortable, nights were quiet, and the amenities worked well for a self-guided stay: I used the coffee maker for tea since there was no kettle, kept a little food in the fridge, and had a microwave. A continental breakfast would've been nice, especially with tables and chairs already in the sitting room. I wasn't keen on the uncomfortable stools or the bedside lamp bulb that was so bright I left it off and used the one on the other side of the bed.

I stayed with my wife on 10/14 while we were heading to Maine. It's within walking distance of Keene's main downtown area, but knowing what the room was like, I'd choose somewhere else if I stayed in town again. There were two wooden chairs, both about as uncomfortable as they looked, and the mattress had a pronounced dip in the middle, as if people had mostly been sitting on the bed's edge. It wasn't comfortable. I'd suggest replacing that mattress and adding a couple of comfortable chairs.

We got to feel like we lived in lovely Keene for a bit while we were there for the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. The hotel was just what we wanted. Someone even greeted us at check-in and said we could pull our car closer to unload. A really fun travel spot, 10/10 experience!

I found this place at the last minute while looking for somewhere to stop after a family event, not knowing the area and wanting a short drive from Manchester on my way home to CT. It was just right for me. Check-in was self-service, the room and bed were comfortable, and I had privacy. I also got to explore a little, enjoying the quiet and quaint New England charm. Loved it.

Check-in and checkout were a breeze with a simple text and room key codes, and it was only a quick 5-8 minute walk into town. My room was spotless, and the building has been beautifully restored. Josh, the host, was incredibly nice; we ended up talking for a while about his original WWII Jeep. The Burrell House Inn surpassed what I expected. You can tell the owners care. I'd strongly recommend this inn over a corporate hotel. Five stars.
