Days Inn by Wyndham Kemah

For $300/night, this was just terrible. The room was janky: the bathroom door lock was broken, the shower was gross, the fridge was missing its glass shelves, and my drink fell through to the bottom because I didn't notice before putting it in. The oven didn't work, the microwave was a $20 Walmart one that doesn't even rotate, the furniture was beat up and chipped, and there were visible holes in the walls or ceiling. The fitness center was a joke, just a treadmill and two machines, with the treadmill broken and frayed cables on one machine. The pool was gross, with old wasp nests everywhere because they leave the windows up for humidity, and the spa was broken. Complimentary breakfast was just a waffle maker and coffee. The beds were okay, and the AC worked.

I came for our Anniversary on Mother's Day weekend because I had a show to perform with the band. The rooms were infested with roaches and weren't very clean. They smelled clean, but they weren't. The furniture wasn't the best, either. My boss gave us this stay as a gift, and I was almost afraid to tell him it hadn't been great. I finally did, and he was upset. I'll never come back or recommend it to anyone. Go to Kemah Boardwalk, but choose another hotel. Read the reviews, they tell you a lot.

The location was pretty convenient, but the service was abysmal. We arrived to find dirty sheets, so I asked the front desk for clean ones. The man there spent about five minutes just looking for sheets and didn't even have a fitted one. We had to sleep on a flat sheet that didn't fit properly. We checked out early the next day because we weren't satisfied with the room. While checking that we had all our things, we found a pizza box more than two weeks old in the dresser drawer. Disgusting.

No!!!! Spend a little more and stay somewhere else. The carpet was literally sticky when I took my shoes off, and the place was so dirty and disgusting. On my third day, water started pouring from the vent in the bathroom, from the room above. I told the staff, and one guy just laughed and asked how much water. I said enough that I needed a new room right then. He kept laughing. He eventually moved me, but the whole thing was awkward. One guy at the front desk was really nice and helpful, but I don't know what to say about the other guy. When I told him about the leaking bathroom ceiling, he said a black man named Muhammad was peeing on me. True story! I know it sounds crazy, but true 😂😂😂. Avoid this hotel at all cost.
