Kenai Aspen Suites Hotel

I’m on day six and still haven’t had anyone clean the room or bring towels, and there’s no coffee in the morning. I travel for work and spend two-thirds of the year in hotels. Last time I was in town the Aspen was full, so I stayed across the street at Comfort Inn. I’ll be going back there from now on. I can’t recommend this place. Choose Comfort Inn or head to Soldotna.

The staff have all been courteous and welcoming, and they even helped me print documents from my email, which was a real help that day. The room surprised me more the longer I looked around. The kitchen has pots, pans, dishes, cups, a toaster, and silverware, plus a stove that uses a timer so it feels safe even if you’re absent minded. The bathroom is roomy and comfortable without being too large, and the bed and sitting area have just the right amount of space. There’s a big TV opposite the bed, close enough to see but far enough that you have to focus on it. Great service and a wonderful hotel. I’ll tell people about the place and the staff.

The rooms are very nice, with a full refrigerator and freezer, microwave, and two burner stove. During our seven nights, housekeeping didn’t change the sheets or towels, and we had to carry our trash to the Refuse room several times.

Rikki was the highlight of my stay in SITKA. She was so friendly and nice, like our own travel agent and an ambassador for the hotel and SITKA. I couldn’t have asked for more from her. The rooms were clean, the location was great, and the staff were great too. Definitely feels like a return stay at Aspen Suites. Thanks, RIKKI!
