Breakwater Inn

We arrived in the late afternoon and learned the Inn thought we were coming a month later. It was too late to reach our Travel Agent, but the staff didn't just send us away. They did everything they could to find us a room and even upgraded us. That's customer service at its best. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the beds comfortable, and the balcony had a fabulous view.

Rhonda was attentive when we arrived and throughout our stay. The room was very clean and well kept, the beds were really comfortable, and it was nice and quiet. Complimentary coffee, tea, and water were available too. The Breakwater Inn is away from the main town's bustle, but it's only a 20-minute walk or a short drive. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely return and recommend it.

We loved spending our fourth anniversary at Breakwater Inn. The room was perfect, with an incredible view over the water, and it was the coziest place I've ever stayed. We could practically melt into the beds. We enjoyed the cold lobster roll and seared scallops at the connected restaurant, The Port Fish & Chop House, which I highly recommend. The front desk woman, whose name we can't remember, had a lovely Irish accent. She kindly directed us to our room and welcomed us to our stay in Kennebunkport, then wished us a happy new year as we left. We can't wait to visit again! Sincerely, Cherese & Eric

The rooms, staff, new bar, and food were all 10/10. We hosted our wedding weekend here in 2025, and can't recommend it enough to future couples or anyone visiting Kennebunkport. The rooms were beautiful, the location was amazing, and the food was amazing too. You may come across outdated reviews from before the renovation and new management, but the current hotel, staff, and restaurant are incredible.
