Best Western Plus New Orleans Airport Hotel

The rooms and bathrooms were clean, with no mold or mildew, so stay for the clean room if you like. Bring your own hygiene products, though. They had Dove body wash, lotion, and shampoo, not the cheap soap here. Breakfast was awful.

We only stayed because no other hotels were available. When we asked for housekeeping, the manager, Lake, the older man with long hair, scolded us rudely. He also insulted my children after they asked him to speak kindly. The bathroom had feces spattered on the wall and toilet, and the lamp was broken. It's a 30 minute drive to New Orleans.

They still owe me the $30 they held as a reservation amount, which was supposed to come back after checkout. I stayed one night and left only an ordinary mess. I've called three times and still haven't got the money back. There's no reason for them to keep it. Feels like they're hoping people forget about that extra $30. Not me!

I was in the area for medical checkups at the VA downtown New Orleans, about 16 miles away on a pretty direct route with no interstate needed. The staff were welcoming, professional, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast even included espresso. It was too chilly for me to try the pool, though I was glad to see a pool lift. I'm grateful for my short stay here.
