Hilton New Orleans Airport

We enjoyed our stay and would come back. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff provided excellent service. It's convenient for the airport, right across from it. There's plenty of parking and the grounds are well lit. The rooms don't have microwaves, but there's one in a separate lobby area, which was okay.

The cleaning staff were great, though on the day I checked out they came into my room before checkout to see if I was still there. A few front desk workers were friendly and approachable, especially Shenika, who helped with my requests, but many others were rude and unaccommodating. The shuttle staff had the same problem. Only one driver, a Latino gentleman, greeted me and was friendly. One driver told a passenger who was unsure if she had the right shuttle that she "better figure it out before I pull off." Between that and having to pay for parking, I don't think this place is worth the price.

The staff were friendly, the bar drinks were good, and the game was on. The hotel felt clean and inviting, and the shuttle was great for an early airport trip. But accessibility in our third-floor ADA room was disappointing. Its outward-opening door was bent and stuck, making it extremely hard to open and close. A makeshift closet blocked the entrance and left little room to maneuver a wheelchair. The beds weren't the expected Queen size, and the shower was barely lukewarm with weak pressure. For a Hilton, they could do better.

My wife and I stopped in on a whim to eat here again, after I used to stay at the hotel twice a year or so before moving here ten years ago. The restaurant has a bright, welcoming new space, and the menu is decent even if it's not huge. We both ordered red beans and rice, then cheesecake. It tasted good, though my wife's dish had cold spots and needed reheating. Make of that what you will, I doubt there was a chef in the kitchen. The wait staff were friendly and helpful.
