The keypad entry worked smoothly, and check-in and checkout were quick even without a front desk. We had a clean, comfortable room at this newly renovated hotel, and it was an easy walk to the historic district. Parking behind the building was simple too. Just keep in mind there’s no elevator: the second floor could be difficult if you have mobility concerns, though we were fine with it. First-floor rooms avoid that issue. We’d happily stay again, and thanks for a lovely visit!

The location is fantastic, just a two-minute walk into town. The rooms are beautiful and feel like they belong in a four- or five-star hotel. Before my stay, communication was clear and helpful, with straightforward instructions for getting in and checking in since everything is self-serve and there’s no front desk. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Having so many shops and restaurants within walking distance made our visit even more enjoyable. The whole hotel had a stylish, welcoming feel, and our room was beautiful. The virtual check-in and checkout were easy and convenient. We had a wonderful stay at The Founder and are already planning to come back.

The founders room turned out to be a lovely surprise, with plenty of space and beautiful views from the windows. The bed and linens were so comfortable that we had the best night’s sleep we can remember. We also loved the brick wall and bathroom shower, and appreciated all the thoughtful touches that made the room comfortable and enjoyable. Everything felt perfect.

We loved being able to leave the car in the small hotel lot and explore on foot. The Francis is just one block from the main street in Kennett Square, with lots of delicious restaurants, cafes, and cute local shops nearby. My sister and I came for a quick weekend and had a beautiful stay. We were there on the first night they opened to guests, so there were a couple of opening-day hiccups, but Jen the general manager was very helpful when we got in touch. The building and rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless. We stayed in room #6, and the bed was a fluffy, comfortable dream. The bathrooms were immaculate, with lovely-smelling toiletries. The rooms feel like boutique hotel quality, though the setup is closer to an Airbnb: there’s no front desk or daily cleaning service, and we entered the building and rooms with access codes. We’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
