Quality Inn Kennewick

The rooms were nice, breakfast was good, the price was fair, and the staff were friendly. I’ve stayed here before on an upper floor and had no trouble then. This time we were on the first floor, and every step from the guests above made the creaky floor loud enough to sound like a herd of elephants. I complained; staff contacted them, and they did try to keep it down. At one point, a man tried his key on our door. We opened it, and he was embarrassed. He said the clerk had given him the wrong room number.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with a big selection of hot items. The waffles were very good, and I appreciate having a waffle maker available. The sausages were fine, though the scrambled eggs were better on the third morning than the first. The hotel is also well placed for shopping and restaurants, some close enough to walk to. We’ve stayed here a couple of times and have been pleased. We prefer Choice Hotels, and when there’s a Quality Inn in an area we visit, it would be our first pick for a night. On arrival this time we were upgraded to two King beds, which was nice but unnecessary since we only used one. The mattress and bedding were superb, and we slept excellently for all three nights. I can highly recommend it.

Housekeeping really stood out. Everything was kept fresh and clean, and the hotel itself was clean too. The weekday breakfast hostess was cheerful and amazing, with everything hot and fully stocked. Julio at the front desk was the real star. There was always coffee and fruit at the desk, and cookie time was pretty neat.

Check-in and checkout were quick and efficient, and there was enough parking. The room was comfortable and the Quality Inn was very clean. Breakfast was good and stayed stocked, but the dining area is so small it feels claustrophobic. When it gets busy, it’s hard to get to the food. That’s why I’m giving four stars instead of five. I didn’t use either the indoor or outdoor pool.
