SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kenosha

We were in town for a baseball tournament, with the games about 14 minutes from the hotel. There were lots of nearby places for lunch or dinner, and miniature golf just across the road was a fun extra for families. In the evening, guests were hanging out by the fire pit or in the bar area, which gave the place a nice feel. The kids enjoyed the pool, and my teen boys liked the workout gym. We didn't have time to use the pool ourselves. The hotel felt new and was very clean, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Continental breakfast was handy before heading out. We'd recommend it and plan to return for future tournaments.

The place was bright, lively, and very clean, right by the interstate. The manager was warm and welcoming, and breakfast was phenomenal. My kids and I stayed for spring break to visit the museums and see the lighthouse. They enjoyed the pool, which was at least five feet deep, and I liked that pool towels were provided.

We came for a weekend of shopping at the Kenosha outlets and concerts in Milwaukee, and the quiet, spotless suite was a great place to relax after long days. The fresh breakfast had quality options, and the dining area was well organized. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were professional, welcoming, and attentive. Everything felt well managed and carefully maintained. We had a comfortable, smooth stay and would definitely return.

The rooms were dirty, with what looked like DNA from the previous guest. I can't stand it when housekeeping doesn't do its job. The water was also a problem: after a long day of travel delays and work, with snow outside, I got a lukewarm shower with very poor pressure. With the hotel's water restrictors, there was nothing I could do about the pressure. I told the front desk it wasn't getting hot, and they said they could fix it. I went to work expecting a hot shower when I returned. The gentleman at the desk said it had been taken care of, but also said they didn't see a problem. They hadn't sent anyone to my room, and the water wasn't going to get hotter. If they'd told me that, I could have gone elsewhere. Instead, they said it would be fine, and I'd already be charged for the day, so I felt stuck there. I got back at 10:30 at night after a 12-hour shift and had another cold, lukewarm shower. If you're a woman, don't expect enough pressure to wash and condition your hair without freezing. Don't tell a guest something will be fixed when you know it can't be. I'm not happy. I booked this because it seemed to be the nicest option in this small town, where you take what you can get. Don't waste your time staying here.
