Comfort Inn Kent - Seattle

It’s a great place to stay, but after housekeeping cleaned the room, they left only two bath towels and no other towels. The coffee they left was decaf only. Neither is a huge deal, but both meant a trip down to the front desk. At night the side doors are locked, so you have to go through the front entrance.

The parking lot was difficult to get into, fully fenced, and most spaces were already taken. The entrance door stays locked, too, and it took a while to get the front desk’s attention so we could check in. Our room was hot and needed about 45 minutes to cool down. There was a lot to like once we got settled: comfortable beds, friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, a pool, and a gym. The free breakfast was amazing, with homemade chicken noodle soup, real sausage, eggs, and the usual breakfast items. The coffee was strong and tasty. I’d consider staying again.

There aren’t many stores nearby, but the hotel itself was great. I was surprised by how large the bedroom was for the price. It’s definitely better than a two-star hotel.

The hotel is nice and clean. I loved the colors outside, the landscaping, and the cool waterfall. I also loved the beds and white bedding. We arrived early, so our King room wasn’t ready, but we happily took the two queen beds instead. We were both tired and perfectly content with them. My husband and I don’t usually stay in hotels. Poulsbo RV is in the same town, and since this place is only three miles away, we booked a night online rather than drive over three hours that morning to pick up our motorhome. I had looked at a lot of hotels, and COMFORT INN beat them all in KENT, based on the reviews too. The woman at the counter was really kind. I can’t remember her name, but I loved everything about her. I’m giving the hotel five stars, but the room gets one because of the toilet. It was dangerously low, scary, and uncomfortable for us taller adults. It felt like you could fall down onto it, then jolt backward getting up. I injured myself the first time I used it, and squatting for the rest of the stay made things worse. I fell hard while starting to sit, landed on the porcelain, and jolted my spine. It caused instant pain. I twisted my knee too, and pain shot up my back. Hours later it was still just as painful at home, and my lower back is still being treated. I’m home using ice and heat. I told General Manager Kent Salinas about it on our way out yesterday. He listened, though there wasn’t much he could do. This is a recommendation for the corporate office: please replace those unsafe toilets with standard-size ones, or at least add a warning. I’ve never come across one so low, and I can’t help thinking other people may have injured themselves too. The people responsible for safety should know about this. Has anyone at the top of COMFORT INN tried using one? If the COMFORT INN big kahuna reads this, try it, but brace yourself. I used caps in my long message to get the safety concern across, not because I’m yelling or mad. If nobody else has complained, I’d be surprised. JEEZ, it’s scary.
