The rooms felt shabby and worn, and the one my mom had came with curtains that wouldn’t close. A housekeeper had to safety-pin them shut. The mattresses and carpets were stained, and the refrigerator in my room screeched loudly all night. We’d booked a handicap room a month ahead for a trip from out of town to my nephew’s graduation, but when we arrived, we were told none were available. The staff tried to help by putting us on the first floor, but my mom couldn’t get in and out of the shower because the regular rooms don’t have walk-in showers. My room didn’t have a shower head either, so maintenance had to install one. I felt bad for the employees, who were nice and helpful but seemed to have their hands tied by corporate. We wanted to find another hotel with an accessible room, but staff said corporate would charge us whether we stayed or not because online bookings had a no-refund policy. If we hadn’t paid in advance, I wouldn’t have stayed.

There was decent food and entertainment nearby, and Walmart down the road was handy for drinks since the pop machine didn’t work. We booked two rooms for a week, and our inspector thought it was a pretty good deal for the money. The pillows were soft, though a little small. Still, service was mostly absent: nobody cleaned our rooms during the three days we stayed, and we weren’t given shampoo, conditioner, or even soap. Luckily I’d brought my own.

We really enjoyed our recent stay and plan to come back at least twice a year. The staff were great, polite, friendly, and eager to please, and they were wonderful with our dogs. Our room was clean and pleasant, and the hot tub was to die for. I have nothing but good things to say.

We were there for a week, and the staff were casual and friendly. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, though I wish the hot tub had been working. My only real complaint is that paying by credit card brought a bunch of charges that took several days to go back onto my card. I extended the stay with cash and had no trouble.
