Texas Forest Country Retreat

Kay made booking easy and helped make our stay everything we’d hoped for. My family came to Beaver Creek Lodge for my son’s engagement, and we loved it. It’s well appointed, with a great outdoor area for taking in the sights and sounds of the East Texas woods. We’ll definitely come back.

We had very little time, but still got to explore the pond and the beautifully wild yet well-kept grounds. The hunters cabin was a lovely rustic surprise. My husband and I booked the cabin for my out of town company Christmas Party, and when we arrived I was thrilled, though I wished we’d booked more than one night. It’s spacious but cozy, and I’d love to spend time curled up by the big fireplace with coffee and a book. We can’t wait to return and give the whole property the attention it deserves.

We visited during torrential rain, and although we wondered whether the unpaved road back to the highway would be a problem, the water drained away and we had no trouble traveling. The rain changed some of our plans, but the lodge was so relaxing that sitting on the porch and watching it was a treat. It’s private and surrounded by nature, with beautiful birds visiting each morning and even an armadillo greeting us one afternoon. For my birthday weekend, my husband and I found the lodge immaculate and well maintained, with lovely quaint decor. Everything was supplied, including plenty of cleaning products, toilet paper, paper towels, and a good range of basic spices in the well stocked kitchen. We had an amazing stay.

In June 2025, our local school district administrative staff held a retreat here. The beautiful grounds and peaceful setting made it a great place for us to learn together. It’s an amazing facility, and I can’t recommend the venue enough for any kind of event.
