It's very out of the way, though being just 15 minutes from work was convenient. There isn't much nearby besides a McDonald's, a Dollar General, and two gas stations. The water was my main concern. It had a very distinct bad smell and taste, almost like gas from human waste was getting into the clean water, or wastewater was flowing back into it.

The employees were helpful whenever I needed anything, so I have no complaint about the staff. The building and its upkeep were another matter. Trash was overflowing outside, the driveway looked like it had been hit by a meteor shower, and I worried about getting a flat tire. The side entrance also opened without a key. The grab-and-go breakfast was pretty pitiful, and the pool seemed to be under renovation. My room was clean except for the bathroom, where it looked like mold might be starting. Since I was going to Fowler, there weren't many alternatives unless I stayed in West Lafayette. One thing to keep in mind if you're headed to Fowler or West Lafayette: this hotel is in Central Time, while both towns are in Eastern, so watch the time.

The room blanket had stains all over it, like it hadn't been washed, and when I tried to shower the water smelled like rotten eggs. At check-in, the desk guy was awful to deal with. My room had already been charged before I arrived, then they wanted another $100 deposit on top of that. Save your money and head to Remington to stay somewhere else.

The room was clean and perfectly typical for a two-star place, and the staff were agreeable. Breakfast, though, was awful. The coffee and Hostess stuff were inedible, and I only managed to get the one orange juice.
