Chief Motel

After his first night here, my husband asked to switch rooms because he had bites all over from what he believed were bedbugs. He also found bedbugs in the room, but the staff insisted the bites were from chiggers. They were fully booked and couldn't move him, so he spent the second night sleeping in a chair. As a medical provider, I've seen many bedbug bites, and his looked classic to me. We normally wouldn't post about bedbugs since they can turn up in five-star hotels as well as one-star motels. What upset us was the attempt to deflect blame instead of treating the room, which could expose more people. He was here for two nights while helping friends move to town.

A good, affordable place to stay when visiting Keokuk. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff were great.

I wouldn't recommend the Chief Motel in Fayetteville, Arkansas. There were roaches, the bathroom was filthy, and the linens were dirty and covered in burn holes. The rooms smelled terrible, and there were signs of drug activity around the property. It felt unpleasant and unsafe. Avoid it.

Stores are all around and within walking distance, and the location is nice. The manager was beautiful and kind, and the rooms were clean. I recommend this hotel.
