Sleep Inn Kernersville I-40

The breakfast was fantastic, but the halls smelled terrible. Even though every room was non-smoking, I couldn’t walk down a hall without smelling marijuana. People smoked right by the entrance doors, so you had to pass through it.

Good location for food and the interstate, and a nice stay for a decent price. My main gripe was the pillows. They were tiny and way too soft. The receptionist working around 10:30 pm was wonderful, joking with me, keeping the conversation going, and helping with everything. Thanks for that, sis. I’d come back for sure.

I’ve been here a while and love the place, but when we got snowed in the price went up and they still didn’t serve breakfast. Why should I pay more for that? They didn’t seem to care that you couldn’t get out in the snow. If you don’t have all the money, then you’ve got to go. Smh.

I’ve stayed here a few times, and this was my last. There are stains on the carpet and what looks like snot or spit on the walls. The showers and toilets leak, and the tiny mini fridges barely keep drinks cold, let alone food. Staff wake you to clean even when you’ve put up a do not disturb sign. The front desk is often unattended, two of the desk workers frequently have an attitude, and the manager is never on site. With all that, I’d recommend sleeping in your car before staying here. The name Sleep Inn is ironic.
