Knob Hill Inn

The dog welcome was especially thoughtful. We brought our two Shih Tzu boys, and at check-in an employee brought ceramic dishes, a rubber food mat, treats, poop bags, and a tag engraved with the hotel’s information in case they got lost. There’s also a small area for them to potty. Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with soft sheets and bedding. The staff were all helpful and pleasant, and it’s a short walk to downtown Ketchum. The heated indoor/outdoor pool is lovely, with garage doors that open in nice weather. Breakfast went well beyond the usual continental spread, with eggs made to order, bread and breakfast meats to choose from, fruit, steel-cut oatmeal, and even mimosas. We also appreciated the hallway snacks and water, bath salts, robes, slippers, and complimentary canteen. We had a very comfortable stay, and there’s a reason Knob Hill Inn is rated among the best hotels in Sun Valley. We’ll recommend it to family and friends.

The bar staff were so courteous and attentive, and the wine pours were generous. Coming from Utah, I’m not used to being treated like I can choose how much wine I want! The restaurant looked good, but we already had dinner plans elsewhere, so we only stopped in for drinks. From check-in through checkout, the desk team and bartenders gave top-notch service. They remembered details and handled things warmly without taking up our time. The front desk ladies deserve a lot of credit. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, housekeeping was great, and we appreciated breakfast and the water in the hallways. There’s no actual A/C, just a separate unit, but that didn’t bother us much. We loved the European feel in Sun Valley and will definitely return for business or pleasure.

Manny was patient and knew his stuff while answering all our questions. We’ve just booked three rooms with him at this resort, and we’re really looking forward to celebrating my mom’s 65th birthday there. I’ll follow up after the stay.

The restaurant served delicious food, and the service was great. I had the prime rib. It’s a very nice place to stay, and the complimentary water bottle was a thoughtful touch.
