A brewery was only a few steps from my room, and the motel was a convenient base while I visited family nearby. They didn't have space for an extra person, which suited me since I wanted my own place anyway. I stayed four nights over five days and would happily book here again for my fall visit. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and staff were quick to respond when I needed something. Just remember it's a motel, so breakfast and similar services aren't part of the deal. I recommend it.

The staff member was pleasant and managed to find one hairdryer for our two rooms to share. That's about where the good points end for me: the pillows were flat and hard, and the small towels felt thin and scratchy. There was no conditioner or hairdryer in the rooms, and the bathroom window had no curtain even though it was at eye level. My room had blackout drapes, but our friends' room didn't, and that definitely affected their sleep. The motel is cute, well located, and the bed had comfortable bedding, but it needs a few improvements to be a gem. We all felt we'd paid too much for what we got.

Keg and Barrel served good food and drinks. The room itself was cozy, though the chair was so small it felt like a child's, and there were ants. The old wall AC was loud. The website promised a lake view, but from our room it was mostly blue metal roofing, with only a small glimpse through trees at the far end of the building. I can't comment on service because there wasn't any, not even an offer to turn down the room.

We were happy with the accommodations, especially being able to walk over to the Keg and Barrel bar/restaurant. The hotel is close to the lake and wineries, which made the location really convenient. Our room was clean and up to date, and the bed and pillows were new and comfortable. A nice little place.

Jim, the owner, gave me great suggestions for things to do despite my short time in the area. At Keg and Barrel on Wednesday evening, I found a wonderful group of people to chat with, and it was clear the place is well loved in the community. I stopped at Keuka Lake Motel on a road trip from Minnesota to Albany, and the room was adorable and just right for the night. At $100 a night, it felt like a true gem, and the stay brightened my whole trip.
