Beware. The owner replied, so here’s an update: we did call, more than a year later, because when we canceled we were told the credit from a natural disaster had no expiration. We reviewed the credit and a date we were considering, and nobody mentioned a deadline. If there had been one, we could have picked a date in time. Even on that later call, no one said we had to use it by a certain date. It seems they never intended to honor the credit. Poor communication and management. Think twice about booking, because you may not get truthful information or be able to use your credit. Years ago, we had to cancel because our area was in the direct path of a hurricane. They said they couldn’t refund us because the hurricane wasn’t affecting their area, so we accepted a credit instead. We weren’t going to leave our home and pets during a hurricane warning, when we needed to prepare. I specifically asked whether the credit would expire and was told it would stay on our account until used. When I later called to book, a woman said the credit had only been good for one year. That was never mentioned when I asked. They kept our money for a room we never got, despite what their staff had told us. There are plenty of other hotels. I wouldn’t give them my business. If an emergency comes up, they may keep your money and mislead you about the credit. Zero stars if I could.
