Hampton Inn Key Largo Manatee Bay

There’s a small beach open around the clock, plus a nice pool and tiki bar. My wife and I found the rooms modern and spacious, and the service was efficient and courteous, including the maintenance staff working around the property. When a small reservation issue came up, Ursula went out of her way to fix it. One of the nicest Hampton Inns we’ve stayed at. I’d highly recommend it in Key Largo.

The only real snag for me was the room temperature. I had trouble working the climate control and couldn't get the room as warm as I wanted. Everything else made me want to return, especially the staff, location, and beach bar. There are good restaurants and shops nearby, and John Pennekamp State Park is right across the way. I went snorkeling and was back in my room within minutes. The beachfront is lovely, with plenty of loungers for sunrise watching. The place looks small outside, but there's a surprising amount of space inside, and although it felt maze-like at first, I got oriented quickly. I was welcomed by an enthusiastic receptionist and warm, delicious cookies, and got a great room beside the pool. Breakfast was included and really good, from homemade waffles to scones. Norma, who leads the breakfast team, was passionate about her work and kept everything clean and well stocked. A four-star stay from start to finish.

The room was hard to warm up, since I couldn't get the heating and cooling controls to work the way I wanted. Still, I'd happily come back. We got warm cookies on arrival, and the free breakfast had everything from homemade waffles to scones. Norma, who leads the breakfast team, clearly cares about making people happy, and kept the space clean, tidy, and stocked. It was a pleasure meeting her. The grounds seem small at first, but there's quite a bit to them, and you figure your way around pretty quickly. The beachfront has lots of lounge chairs, whether you want to catch a sunrise or sunset or just sit by the ocean. Jon Penny camp State Park is almost right across the street. I went snorkeling and returned to my room right afterward. It was an amazing experience, with several good restaurants and shops nearby. I really love this place and its location!

Erta went out of her way to help me extend my stay, and her kindness and excellent service made the visit even better. I had a relaxing, enjoyable time at this resort. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the grounds well cared for. I also enjoyed the pool, beach, and fun water activities. Looking forward to coming back.
