Alexander Palms Court

The location was nice and the pool was fine, but the room was filthy and poorly maintained. Ants were all over the kitchen, including the stove, counters, fridge door, and even inside the refrigerator, where I found dead ones. They got onto my phone when I picked it up from the bedroom end table at night, despite no food being left out. There were traps everywhere, and the can of Raid they gave me only stopped them briefly, so I kept spraying for all three days. Rust showed up on the soap dispensers, toilet paper holder, closet door track, and the already dirty fridge. The floor was filthy, the blinds were broken, and the kitchen cabinet doors wouldn't close. The only way to lock the door was with its handle and key lock, with no deadbolt or chain. I've stayed at wonderful places in Key West before, and after this stay we spent three days elsewhere in the Keys at a beautiful, well-kept place. Bugs can happen, but this room needed serious cleaning, repairs, and pest control. I rely on online photos and older reviews when I travel, and I've never been this surprised by a place's interior. I hope I can post my photos so people can see what it actually looked like.

The pool was immaculate and the staff were friendly. It was dated, but clean, and everything in the bathroom worked. The AC was excellent, too. Great location, an easy walk to most things, and Ana's Cafe is nearby for breakfast or lunch. Winn Dixie is the exception, so take a cab or Uber, walk, or use that rental bike. I'd book again.

The pool kept us happily occupied for the whole day, and the staff were super friendly. We only had one night at this little place, which was a shame, since it was close enough to walk everywhere. The room was comfortable. My only gripe was the AC cycling on and off all night. I'd love to stay again.

A peaceful place, with Duval Street only about a five-minute walk away, so we didn't need bikes or a golf cart. The rooms are small but comfortable, and there's a water fountain and a pool. The person at the front desk was kind and very friendly.
