Colors on White

The staff members we met were all kind and helpful, and getting around was easy. There's convenient parking, and you can walk to plenty of places without being in the middle of the noise and chaos. The room needed attention, though. The toilet kept running, and the towels and pillows felt flimsy and old. We asked for a rollaway but were given an air mattress. A lot of things seemed due for an update or repair.

The room was fine, but the jacuzzi tub I was excited about was unusable. The water wouldn't turn on, so I had to fill it by running the shower, and even then the jets didn't work. The location wasn't great, which made the high price harder to justify. I stayed in summer and paid what felt more like a winter rate.

Check-in is on Duval Street, a couple of minutes away by car. It's not a big hassle, but worth knowing before you arrive. Our room's window AC got pretty noisy at night. It's a quaint old Key West house, and the rooms were a decent size. We were lucky to have a big balcony across the front. The pool was great for a dip, with a nice lounging area. For the price and how close it is to the main attractions, it was a great spot.

We had a good time at this cute, cozy place, and the pool was nice. They replaced towels and sheets when we needed them. The one thing that bugged me was that no one swept during our six nights. We tracked in sand from the beach and had no way to clean it up. I'd have done it myself if there'd been a broom in the room. There was coffee, but no creamer or sugar. A little thing, I know, and it kind of made me laugh.
