Courtyard by Marriott Key West Waterfront

We had a great stay over six nights, and the front desk team was friendly and really helpful. Since we booked close to the trip, we knew we’d have to switch rooms twice. The staff made sure our group could stay together, which we appreciated. We did leave our winter coats behind in one room, and they went missing. We were disappointed they weren’t found, though we know it was our responsibility to move them. Going back to NJ without them just as winter storm Fern was coming was 🥶. The group enjoyed the bar and its drinks. I don’t drink, though, and was sorry there wasn’t an NA beer or mocktail menu. Plenty of other places in Key West had great choices for non-drinkers.

Mary Ann at the front desk made us feel welcome right away. She was warm, kind, and made sure we felt looked after. When the management team learned it was my husband’s 40th birthday, they left a thoughtful note and a surprise in our room. We were touched, and it made the occasion memorable. The hotel was comfortable and well run, with a very convenient location. We had a fantastic time at the Courtyard Marriott Key West and would happily stay there again when we’re back in Key West.

The lobby and fitness room looked great, and the front desk staff and bartender Jeff were friendly and helpful. The room itself felt dated, with a sink that was much too small for two people’s toiletries. Getting an Uber was quick and fairly cheap, but the location wasn’t ideal for visiting Old Town Key West. For $500 a night, I don’t think the rooms were worth it.

Those first two people at the front desk made the stay for me. They were warm and kind, and their energy took away my travel stress as soon as I arrived. It felt like the team cared about the little things and made me feel like a guest in a home. The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere that I haven’t found at big corporate chains. That first impression made the rest of the trip better, and the hospitality felt real. I knew right away this was going to be a great trip, and the hotel exceeded what I expected. I can’t wait to come back.
