Orchid Key Inn - Adults Only

The front desk team at the Orchid Key Inn made a big difference for us. When our Christmas Eve flight home was cancelled late that evening, they found rooms for us, gave us complimentary drink vouchers for the onsite bar, and helped rebook a taxi to the airport for the next day. They also helped us rent a golf cart, with discounted parking and onsite cart drop off and pick up when booked through them. The staff are gems, and we couldn’t praise the whole team enough. Our group of five adults stayed in three rooms, and everyone had a wonderful time. This 1960’s motel has been renovated with care. The rooms were bright, clean, and spacious, with updated bathrooms, large showers, and some of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in for a long time. The rest of the property is beautifully maintained as well. The Orchid Bar is small, with only a few seats inside, but has a fun atmosphere and generous, well-made drinks. They serve house-infused liquors, signature cocktails, wine, and soda. We met people from nearby hotels who had come just to try it. In the mornings, it also hosts a continental breakfast with toast, pastries, deli meats, yogurt, juice, cereal, and more. By the pool, there are plenty of loungers and tables, plus complimentary water and sunscreen lotion. The secluded pool and hot tub were relaxing, and we could always find a place to sit. The hotel is right on Duval Street, an easy walk from restaurants, bars, and shops. The beach and the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory are a short distance down toward the end of Duval. There’s plenty of onsite parking if you drive or rent a car or golf cart, though the central location means you don’t need one. We’ve visited Key West a few times and will never stay anywhere else. Thank you to the whole team for making our vacation so wonderful.

There’s a nice range of evening snacks for happy hour, and the front desk staff I met were friendly and helpful to us as first-time travelers to the Keys. The place has a beautiful, quiet, adult orientated feel, with no pressure and lots of room to relax. It’s in a great spot on Duval Street. I’ll definitely return.

The pool and bar were a great place to unwind after exploring the island. Orchid Key Inn is right in the heart of everything in Key West, but it still feels peaceful. The staff were welcoming and quick to help with recommendations or anything else I needed. My room was modern, comfortable, and very clean. I had an amazing stay and would gladly come back.

The tiki bar cabana was a highlight, with a very nice breakfast and afternoon drinks. The pool and hot tub were great, and the rooms were fabulous. When you first pull up, the place can look like a tired old motel, but it’s anything but. It has a 50’s vibe, and the staff were attentive throughout.
