Killington Townhouses

We made the best of the weekend by playing scrabble and keeping the fire going, but the house had not been cleaned when we arrived. The layout was nice, and there was a great fireplace with plenty of wood. Still, the beds had dirty linens on them, clean sheets were left in a bag on the floor, and dirty towels were scattered on the floors and racks. The downstairs shower was unusable, with brown soiled towels sitting in the tub. Thankfully, the upstairs shower was much cleaner, so the three of us shared it. The kitchen was just as dirty, with scum in the sink, old food on the counters, and a dishwasher full of dirty dishes. We were using a friend’s timeshare because they couldn’t make it that weekend. At checkout, we were berated for making too much noise, apparently from putting logs on the fire and bringing in wood. We were told a family downstairs had complained and asked to move, and that staff had done us a favor by not charging $150 because we checked out half an hour late. If we were causing a problem, why didn’t anyone knock and tell us? Having a fireplace isn’t the guest’s fault if it leads to lost business. They need to hold their cleaning crew to a higher standard and learn how to run a hospitality business. The stay could have been more bearable for everyone.
