The view was beautiful, and the inside and outside had both been renovated from top to bottom. My husband and I booked this weekend with our pup at the very last minute, and we really enjoyed the stay. The only things I might complain about are the door, which kept sticking and was VERY hard to open or close, and beds that could be a little more comfortable. We’re already planning a return trip with the family. Thanks for making a last minute weekend work so well!

The location worked perfectly for boating and lakeside walks, with restaurants, shops, and entertainment nearby. We knew our cottage hadn’t been updated yet, but for a short stay where we’d mostly just be sleeping there, it was okay. We met Dave, the new owner, who talked about his vision and said he’d been a businessman in the area for some time.

I booked a two-bedroom “cabin” expecting three beds in each room, but there were only three beds total when we arrived. They blamed Expedia, so I had to rent another room 20 minutes away. The whole point was to bring the family together, and it ruined my vacation. The place looks much nicer in the pictures than it really is. The beds squeaked, the porch wood was rotting, and the grill was rusted out. I also thought the cabin had a pool right in front, but it was in a completely different building. I don’t recommend it. I spent 700 dollars for two nights, plus the extra room. No, no.

The dock was great for our boat, and we liked having a place to swim off it. The location was also nice and away from the hustle and bustle. Cabin 5 had an interior in good shape, but the beds were horrible and made it impossible to sleep well. The water smelled like sulfur or rotten eggs, and the charcoal BBQ wasn’t in good shape. We skipped the pool because the water had a green tint. When I called to complain, they pretty much didn’t care. If we go back, we’ll look for another cabin.
