My husband was diagnosed with bed bug bites after our stays at BW Northwind Inn, and the way management handled it was awful. I sent the general manager photos and the urgent care receipt, then heard nothing back, not even an apology. We were left dealing with stress, anxiety, extra cleaning at home, and a medical bill. We’re Diamond Select BW members and stay at BW often, and had never had this happen before. We won’t stay here again. To clarify the timing: my husband and I stayed in room 128 for one night on 12/13. We felt fine afterward. About two weeks later, we returned from 12/31 to 1/2 with our grandson. He’d been itching around his shoulder and neck for a few days, but we didn’t think much of it until bumps appeared during that second stay. Once home, we took him to urgent care as they were getting worse. The doctor said they were bed bug bites and likely happened a couple of weeks earlier. We contacted BW after the second stay and after the doctor visit, sent photos and the receipt, and customer service opened a ticket. Until then, we hadn’t had an issue with BW Northwoods Inn, but we still won’t be returning.

We mostly travel for sports, so having a pool, hot tub, and gym matters when I’m with my three kids. This was our first stay at this Best Western, and it worked well for us. We’ll come back on our next trip down.

After staying in plenty of hotels for work, I’d put this at the top of the Best Westerns I’ve tried. The room was clean, the service was great, and the breakfast had a really good selection. They also seemed to have every amenity you could ask for.

The location is amazing, and the staff made us feel welcome from the start. One of the best places I’ve stayed. When I’m in town, this is the only place I’ll stay.

Clean, nice rooms, plus an ice machine, fresh water, and a coffee and espresso machine. Breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from. The friendly, helpful staff made it a great stay. I know where I’m booking next time.
