Quality Inn Kings Mountain

I wouldn’t come back. We spent a night here on the way home, from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m., and paid over $90. The location just off I-85 is convenient, but at that price I wasn’t happy. We only wanted somewhere to rest before continuing our trip. The room wasn’t clean. There was a cockroach, a dirty towel, a messy lamp, used toiletries, and a door that didn’t work properly. It seemed like housekeeping hadn’t done the job at all. The pillows were half the size of a standard one. People stopping here after a long drive need a pillow that can support their neck. If you need somewhere to rest for a couple of hours, it might be okay, but I think $50-$70 would make more sense. Over $90 is too expensive for this. It’s not my kind of place.

Breakfast had a great variety, with something to suit anyone. My room was cleaned each day and replenished with fresh towels and toiletries. The front desk attendant was friendly and courteous, and my stay at Quality Inn Kings Mountain was very pleasant.

My room was nice, though I can’t speak for the others. There was breakfast every morning, but it got kind of old. I didn’t have bed bugs. I noticed a small amount of drug activity, though I’ve seen worse.

We stayed one night and only slept there. My wife showered with one towel, and we left the other on the shelf. Before we left, I used the restroom and saw it was still there. But when we went to collect our deposit, the man said he’d check the room, then came back claiming we took a towel. I had my own and didn’t need theirs. He kept $20 of my deposit for a towel we never touched. That’s ridiculous, and he was rude and unprofessional. I’d never stay there again. Don’t try to use your points here either, because he’ll make something up to stop you. If they’re going to treat people that way for paying with points, they shouldn’t be in the points program.
