Quality Inn Kingsland

We booked for one night, but left as soon as we saw the room. The photos are badly out of date: the hot tub is blocked off, the pool is dirty, and the room was in awful shape. There was mold and rust everywhere, with what looked like paint over mold on the ceiling. The chairs were broken and dirty, there were cigarette ashes on the soap in our nonsmoking room, and hair in the tub. The AC barely worked, the TV didn't work at all, and WiFi kept cutting out. We were worried our four-year-old might touch something harmful and get sick. This was the worst place my family and I have stayed, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

We lasted about an hour before leaving. The door barely shut and wouldn't lock, there were snot and boogers on the walls, and the lampshades had some orange smear on them. The carpet was filthy, there were holes in the walls, and we found cockroaches. When I told the front desk, all they asked was, “Do you want your receipt?”

The inside was spotless, even though I had some concerns looking at the outside and its loose bits and peeling paint. The beds were clean and really comfortable, and I always check the mattress. Staff were great, and the pool and grounds were clean too. After the town's fireworks ended, it was a peaceful night. Breakfast was good, and they kept it open a little longer for those of us who arrived late. We'll definitely come back!

We got a quick Priceline express deal while traveling nine hours with my 84-year-old mother, who needed to rest right away. Big mistake on my part. The hotel looked especially run down from outside, but the front desk manager was so helpful, kind, and considerate, and did everything he could to accommodate us. He understood that she couldn't manage stairs and put us as far away as possible from the rooms with barking dogs. The WiFi had issues, but the room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Mr. Gerald turned what could've been a disaster into a pleasant stay.
