Travelodge by Wyndham Kingsland GA

This place is run down, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. I checked in early and paid $25 for it, but had to switch rooms because the first one smelled bad. The phone didn't work, the door wouldn't lock properly, and on the second floor I couldn't take a hot bath because the tub had no stopper. The front desk said nothing could be done when I called, and they wouldn't refund the early check-in charge.

At 11 pm, after the place next door cancelled our reservation without warning, our group of six was stuck without anywhere to stay. We were moving between states with three dogs and no backup plan. Luckily this motel had a room. The woman at the front desk was cheerful, friendly, and accommodating. She could tell I was stressed, helped calm me down, and asked about our move while we talked about how exciting it was. It wasn't a five-star resort, but it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We were fortunate to find it.

The check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay at the Travelodge in Kingsland, GA. My room was clean, comfortable, and much more spacious than I expected for the price. I had a great stay.

We booked through a third-party site on the night of December 21st while driving south past Brunswick, GA. The Travelodge in Kingsland had a great location and allowed pets, which suited us perfectly. But when we arrived at 10:10 pm, there was no staff in sight. We waited more than half an hour without seeing anyone. The Super 8 next door was full, and the man there seemed genuinely surprised. He even tried calling the front desk for us, but got no answer. We lost our $65, and after reading other reviews later, maybe that was for the best, though it sure didn't feel that way at the time. We eventually found a pet-friendly room in the cluster of hotels north of the 95 and were very pleased with it. There was a reason this Travelodge had availability when most others didn't. The location really was great, though.
