We stop here on our twice-yearly trip north and south, and Carol is a wonderful host who takes care of our needs. I love the upstairs jacuzzi room, though rooms have different amenities, so it’s worth discussing what you need. The rooms are comfortable and distinctive, and the historic details are fun to look around at. My foodie husband would come just for breakfast. There are good restaurants nearby, and the town is quaint and tiny, like time has passed it by. This place is a labor of love, not a polished corporate property. Go with the flow and enjoy a break from the busy I-95 traffic.

Carol puts so much care into her charming house and looks after her guests so well. It’s full of character, with every bit decorated, and the rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy. A splendid place, and I’d definitely stay again.

The bed and shower were nice, but I never got breakfast during the whole week. I was also locked out of the house for 45 minutes after being told there was no curfew. I was told there’d be a Fire Stick, but never received it. Carol and I had agreed I could have an occasional overnight visitor, but she lied about that and wouldn’t accept another payment unless my girlfriend stayed away. That’s bad business. I wouldn’t recommend this place to couples at all.

Carol is a gracious hostess, and the breakfast is consistently delicious. My room is always impeccably clean. A great place to stay in Kingsland!
