Everything else was fantastic, including the food, and the staff were all friendly and nice. But the hot water was barely lukewarm. I stood shivering in the shower, and my wife wouldn’t shower because it was so cold. I’m used to roughing it, so I managed. Even after running the water for 15 minutes, it only got to about 80°. This was my first stay at this Home2 suites location. I’d seen reviews mentioning no hot water, but didn’t expect them to be so accurate. We won’t stay here again, and I’ve already canceled next month’s reservation.

The breakfast on the weekend and holiday was surprisingly fantastic, much more homely than the basic hotel food I expected. The room location impressed me too, and the place was clean, modern, and pet friendly. Staff were very friendly, apart from one hiccup at the start while I tried to get connecting rooms for my elderly mother and me. I think my housekeeper was named Marva, and there was another woman whose name I’m upset I forgot. I wanted to mention them after our Thanksgiving weekend stay. There were so many places to stay in that little area, but I really enjoyed this one. My brother just moved nearby, so I’ll be back soon.

It’s now been 11 days and my money still hasn’t been returned. I’ve called five times since the 22nd, with barely an apology, and somehow each answer blames me or something else. They said they’d send points, but none arrived. They promised a refund in 4 to 5 days, but there’s still no refund. Every person who answers says no manager is available and tells me to call back later. I travel often and try to stay with Hilton, but I’m beyond frustrated. I was taking two kids to see my mother in the hospital after her stroke. I booked a room in the Hilton app for Nov 21st, then drove seven hours and was told they were overbooked and had no room for me. They assured me I wouldn’t be charged. With no rooms nearby, I had to drive another hour. Then I woke up to a pending $238 charge. The hotel told me it wouldn’t be taken out and would “drop off.” It didn’t, and I saw that the money had been taken.

Mia was kind and polite when she checked us in, and she was still helpful and just as kind the following evening. She has great customer service skills. Thanks, Mia, for doing such a good job. My wife and I stayed two nights, from 13 - 15 October 2025. The room was nice and clean. The only issue was that the water wouldn’t get hot enough.
