Rodeway Inn Kingsland - Lake LBJ

The room was very quiet, with good air conditioning and heat, and the bed was comfortable. The room itself is old and needs repairs, and the bathroom was dirty. The reception area was very dirty too, and the place didn’t feel welcoming.

It was a decent value and worked well enough as a comfortable one-night stop on my road trip. I slept fine, which matters most to me along with feeling safe and having a quiet room. Most of the bedding was clean, so I removed the one sheet that was plainly dirty, with large black soot-like stains. I don’t know how something that obvious got missed. Cleanliness was acceptable, but not great. Every pillow had small stains, and the tub was discolored and showing its age. There was also a hair on the shower curtain.

The lobby staff are rude. They haven’t fixed the hot water, and the AC is full of mold. When you switch it on, it blows right onto the bed. This place is trash.

We had a pleasant two-night stay. The rooms were clean, and the front desk was accommodating even though we arrived very late. The AC was ice cold, which we loved. One warning: the toilet paper was installed the wrong way, hanging underhand. It was an easy fix, though.
