Spark by Hilton Kingsland

This was our first stay with Spark, and we'd easily book it again. The hotel has been redone in bright, lovely colors, the staff were very accommodating, and it's pet friendly. We photographed a carpet stain in our room and a chip on the toilet rim where it had started to spider-crack. Breakfast is a quick and easy bagel bar, though it isn't especially healthy without some protein.

Grace was especially great, and the whole staff were friendly and accommodating. The fitness center was a letdown because half the equipment was broken. My wife joked that it was Hilton “sparse.” I'm a regular at Hilton properties, and I wish I'd spent the extra money for the nearby Home2 Suites. It's a basic place if all you need is a bed and a shower, but it wasn't what I'm used to from Hilton. It was my first Spark by Hilton, and I think I'll stick with brands like Tru and Hampton Inn.

Grace at the front desk was terrific when I stayed one night ago. I entered the wrong dates for my booking and was having a hard time navigating the booking site's requirements. She was courteous, called the site several times during her shift to sort it out, then rang my room to let me know everything was fixed. She's a great employee, and the hotel is lucky to have her.

I couldn't find my favorite La Quinta in Kingsland Georgia on the Wyndham app, then checked Google Maps and saw it had changed brands to Hilton Spark. Grace, one of the owners, recognized me when I arrived in the lobby and remembered my previous visits. The place has had a nice facelift, and the rooms are renovated. My kitty cat was welcomed as always, and they granted my room request right away. It's a little pricier than La Quinta used to be, but worth it to me. I was happy to return to a favorite stop where the staff make you feel cozy and at home. Totally recommend!
