Snow covered the ground outside our waterside cabin, creating a quiet, luminous winter scene that felt almost otherworldly. My wife and I spent two beautiful nights at Hutton Brickyards. The food was exceptional, and the service was warm and attentive. In that stillness, time seemed to slow. It felt as though nature was breathing softly around us, making it a perfect place to rest, reflect, and recharge our spirits.

My friend and I stayed in a King cabin, and the blend of modern comforts with easy access to nature was such a treat. I slept better than I have in ages, and coffee on the deck was lovely. The river restaurant has an open-air bar and dining area, and the food, drinks, and atmosphere were all 10/10. We also enjoyed the sauna just a few steps from our cottage before dinner. Staff were incredibly kind from check-in through checkout. Hutton Brickyards is close enough to NYC for an easy trip, yet far enough away to feel like a real getaway, less than two hours from the city. We spent the day before leaving in cute downtown Kingston, which is nearby. I can't recommend the place enough. I only wish I'd known about it for my wedding eight years ago, since it would be the perfect event venue. I hope I can convince someone to host an event there so I can return as a guest. If you're considering a stay, book it!

The staff made this place stand out most. Greeters, bartenders, and management were all efficient, welcoming, warm, and attentive, and made us feel special. The truffle fries were my favorite, with real shaved truffle on top instead of just truffle oil. The food was phenomenal, and breakfast was chef's kiss. There were fun cocktails at both the mansion bar and the pavilion, plus fire pits with s'mores and brick oven pizza through the night. I stayed in the mansion and got the best sleep I've had in months, though I want to try one of the cabins next time. The place is beautiful all year, and the sunny warmer months sound fun, but winter here felt magical. It's a high-class, intimate, romantic spot for a quiet getaway with your partner. I could keep going, but just go see for yourself.

Brunch was excellent, and the staff are kind, but for the price I wouldn't recommend coming in February. The pavilion couldn't serve food or drinks because its pipes had frozen, and we hadn't been told before our stay. We were looking forward to the river view and something to eat there on a nearly 40-degree Sunday of Presidents Day Weekend. We also expected to have a drink at the bar after dinner, but learned the dining room and bar are closed on Sunday nights, another detail no one had mentioned. We went to Sorry, Charlie for dinner, which I highly recommend. Our little room was cute, but so hot we could barely breathe. We were told all the rooms were set to 77 degrees and staff could lower ours to 75. We're now sitting with the door open and a box fan we found in the hallway, trying to cool it down. I don't see us coming back.

The grounds, with a manor and cabins along the Hudson, are stunning. The rooms in the mansion have a moody feel, and even the vinyl selection in the rooms adds to the thoughtful decor. Dinner and wine were impeccable. The people working here were among the most professional and friendly in the industry. Such a beautiful, calming place, and a truly relaxing experience.
