The room was decent, and having two beds meant we could avoid the sheet with a brown spot. One receptionist helped me get the WiFi password, though putting it on the key card would be helpful. The sign promises free hot breakfast, but we found only cereal, milk, and coffee. The refrigerator and water fountain were both out of order, and the TV had only about six channels, with no SHOWTIME despite the sign. We made do with our phones, iPads, Netflix, Waffle House, and circle K gas station. I’m grateful, but I wouldn’t return. Don’t be fooled by that sign.

The front desk lady was kind enough to call the owner's husband, and he let my son and me stay one more night for free. We were there for a week, and both rooms we were moved through had roaches. In the first, the hot water was hard to turn on and then wouldn’t turn off; the next room had even more roaches. As a homeless person, I asked the woman OWNER face to face if I could housekeep so we could have a place to stay. She said no. Later I called nearby hotels, and Google suggested THE COUNTRY HEARTH INN. I didn’t know the name had changed to NATION'S INN, but when I called, the owner invited me to interview the next day. At checkout I learned The Country Hearth Inn was its old name. Once the owner realized I was already staying there, she changed her mind about letting me and my son stay, even though housekeepers and maintenance workers lived there too. A housekeeper had been fired that day for stealing and being high on the job, so they clearly needed help cleaning those roach infested motels. I asked the owner both face to face and over the phone and got two different answers. It’s very sad, especially since I’m not from this area. I didn’t know people could still be so prejudiced and cruel. DON'T STAY HERE!!!

For the price, you get a decent place, though it could use some fixing up.

We’ve been staying here as a family for a couple of weeks and had been paying exactly $65. Since the boss lady arrived, the rate became $73.29. I’ve asked her each time why, and she’s given several explanations: first, that there was more than one person, then that the price changed this month. But when I first paid $65, she asked how many people were staying and had no issue with it. Now the system says we owe this amount and we’re being called bad guests. Meanwhile the toilet barely works and there are roaches in the rooms. She’s charging us incorrectly and lying about it.
