The fishing kept us busy during the day, and the lodge itself was lovely. We were worn out juggling meals and the kids, so we barely took any cabin photos. A few things could use attention: the bathroom tiles felt loose, the coffee pot spilled when I filled it, and the shower spray was so weak it was hard to rinse my hair. The hot tub could have been warmer too. Still, we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it.
We spent most of our four nights out on the lake, and drove over to Hot Springs to explore too. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed, plus a great hot tub overlooking the view. Service was the best we've ever had at a resort. We weren't ready to go when our stay ended, and can't wait to return. Thanks, Self Creek Marina, for such a wonderful getaway!
Gorgeous views, and the air conditioning worked amazingly well. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated, and stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, towels and washcloths, plus a small bag of coffee for one morning. Outside there was a hot tub, table, and grill. We plan to tell all our friends what a great place it was.
Jim and Lori were absolutely great, and the hospitality and service were the best I've experienced at any place I've stayed. The cabins are roomy, clean, and private, with plenty to offer for a family or friends' getaway. I highly recommend Self Creek Lodge and will be back.
My family spent every summer vacation here when I was young, and I remember fishing, boating, and camping as a lot of fun. It's a beautiful lake area, and the cabins look well cared for. They also have rentals for all kinds of water fun. Great for families, with plenty more to do. Highly recommend!
