Best Western St. Louis-Kirkwood Route 66

The breakfast space was clean and had a good selection, and the price felt fair. I can tell they’ve tried to freshen up the room, though it still looks a little dated. There was an odor, possibly because the building is older. The bathtub had obvious stains, and the very low toilet didn’t flush well, so it may need replacing. I think the staff are doing their best to look after the place.

The beds were great, and the fresh-brewed coffee at breakfast was a nice touch. The breakfast room also looked new and fresh, and the complimentary meal was excellent. We had great front desk service, too. The location worked perfectly for the event I was attending. The place felt so fresh that I thought it might be new. I was very pleased!

We hadn't planned on getting a hotel while driving to St. Louis on Friday, but our daughter called to say we couldn't stay with her. We called and booked along the way. Having a side entrance made it easy to bring in our large dog. Breakfast Saturday was good. The room was a little worn, but clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was OK.

We usually stay here when visiting St Louis because it's close to the highway and shopping. The room was clean, though the tub's paint was peeling, and the internet kept dropping in and out, possibly because of the cold weather. I'd also like a newer TV so we could stream apps. Breakfast is good, but I wish they changed it up each day. We missed the waffles, and bacon would've been nice. The reservation and arrival handling was frustrating. I asked about early check-in and was told to call on arrival day, which was fine. When our flight changed, I easily moved the reservation online to Friday and called to say we'd arrive after 10 pm. They said they were glad I called because they would've given the room away if we hadn't arrived before 9 pm, though I couldn't find that policy anywhere and had paid for the room. We ended up later than expected, so I called again to say we'd be there after 1 am. Again, they said they would have given the room away if I hadn't called. On Sunday, after we left and returned, our key wouldn't work. The front desk said they'd checked us out, even though the reservation ran through Wednesday, so we had to get a new key.
