We found it quiet, with comfortable beds and friendly staff. Our pet and smoking room smelled when we first opened the door, but after we ran the AC while we went to dinner, the odor had mostly cleared. The sheets were quite old but clean. We chatted with staff about the repairs while checking out. Judging from older reviews, I’d guess the owners haven’t been working on the place for very long. It’s a large, older hotel that seems to have been neglected, though the current owners have clearly put a lot of work into it and are still fixing things. It was the only pet-friendly place with an indoor pool we could find in the area. It’s an affordable, decent place to stay, just not perfect. If you’re heading west or south, morning traffic is light, and there are plenty of nearby spots to eat and shop.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, and some staff were friendly. But the room was filthy, with dirt in the tub and wallpaper peeling in the messy bathroom. The fridge wouldn’t keep anything cold, and the toilet failed to flush about half the time. The pool and surrounding area were dirty too. A maintenance man came into our room without knocking, which was weird. There were dead roaches all over.

We stayed Sunday, 2/22/2016, and the hotel was quiet, clean, and pet friendly. It’s a little older, but the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help. My girls loved the pool, and breakfast was hot, good, and plentiful. The price was very reasonable and worth every penny. Our only drawback was that the vending machine had Pepsi products, which we personally don’t care for. We loved the hotel and staff and will definitely return when we’re in the area. We highly recommend it for families and dog lovers.

There was a coffee pot but no coffee, and I didn’t notice until morning when we were leaving, so I didn’t bother asking for any. The “breakfast” was disgusting. I wouldn’t eat it or feed it to my kids. The room was otherwise acceptable, but it only had one bath towel and one hand towel, with no floor mat. They had no towels except floor mats. The front desk woman was nice and gave us mats and found one more bath towel. We won’t stay here again.
