4562 Seven Dwarfs

The smell was noticeable as soon as we arrived, and once we looked around we found mold in a lot of places, including the vents. Some of it looked as though it had been painted over. My husband contacted the person in charge and was told someone would come take a look, but nobody showed up. He tried again later and got ignored.

The villa was roomy and comfortable, though our particular leasor didn’t keep up with maintenance as well as we’d hoped. We had problems with the A/C and plumbing. The interior will depend on who rents the unit to you, even though I think the villas share the same layout. The pool was clean and fun, and the hot tub had plenty of room and was relaxing. Pool rules like no diving aren’t enforced because there’s no one assigned to do that, so the experience depends on who else is there. Still, it’s large enough to enjoy. The security guard was friendly and helpful whenever we saw them, and they also monitor the weather and decide when to open or close the pool, so they have a lot to handle. We tried the club room, but the air hockey table was broken and cost us a dollar for nothing. Billiards and ping pong were fun. We didn’t get to use the other facilities, but there’s also a basketball court, tennis court, and splash pad.

The location was perfect, close to everything, and we had all the appliances we needed to make Christmas dinner. Linda was great and handled our reservation well before she left town. After that, things went through her associate Diego, who didn’t respond when I contacted him about the house being too warm. The thermostat was locked, so we couldn’t adjust it. Luckily, some days were cold enough that we could open the windows. The villa itself needs upgrades, and the cleaning was poor. The vacuum gave off a horrible smell when we tried using it. There were dirty towels hanging in the closets, bathroom, and kitchen, plus another dirty one on a bed. We found hair in the fridge and freezer, and the floors were dirty. The sink upstairs in the main bedroom was clogged, so we had to use the sink in the hallway outside the second bathroom to wash up and brush our teeth. Would I stay again? Maybe, if the place were upgraded and they had a better cleaning crew.

The rooms were nice, though there was an old smell. Smoking isn’t allowed anywhere on the property, even outside. Also, watch for black snakes. I saw one on the sidewalk.
