Club Sevilla

We showed up without a reservation for one night, and the front desk explained the room options clearly and gave us a place to stay. The room was cozy and very clean. We’ll come back next time we’re in Orlando.

We didn't stay at the property after finding an insect in each of two rooms, but we were still charged more than $500 as well as thousands of RCI timeshare points. We also had to pay for another hotel ourselves, and more than 2 weeks later, we still haven't gotten a response or reimbursement from RCI, Fantasyworld Resort, or Club Sevilla. We booked 5 nights at Fantasyworld Resort through RCI. On arrival, we were told timeshare guests had to check in at Club Sevilla, about five minutes away, then drive back to Fantasyworld. We later learned some Fantasyworld rooms are owned and managed by Club Sevilla. After checking in there, we were assigned room 3134. Once we opened the pull-out couch, we saw an insect consistent with a bed bug, so we immediately took our 10-year-old out and returned to Club Sevilla. They apologized and moved us to room 3105. That room was also unclean, and when we opened the cot, there was another insect. We decided not to stay and found other accommodations at our own expense. When we returned the keys the next day, the Club Sevilla front desk asked for a manager and referred to the problem as a “BB.” Debbie, the manager, said an owner or general manager would have to approve a credit. Based on what happened, we can't recommend this property.

The room was clean and reasonably priced, but I left feeling unsafe and frustrated. I checked in around 10pm+, and Alex at the front desk was initially polite and helped resolve a keycard problem. Around midnight, loud noise came from next door, then a man repeatedly knocked on my door and asked me to open it. I was staying alone as a woman and didn't feel safe responding. The front desk told me he was “staff” trying to reach the neighboring room through mine to fix a hot water issue. Even so, knocking on a guest's door late at night without notice or proper identification and expecting them to open it was alarming and inappropriate. At checkout the next morning, I told another staff member what had happened. She repeatedly defended it instead of recognizing my concern, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I also saw an unexplained pending credit card charge of $193.36. I hope management improves guest safety procedures and explains charges more clearly.

The pool is heated, and there’s also a hot tub. It was 34°f when we visited. The condo and grounds were clean and well maintained, though somewhat outdated. There are no elevators, so call before booking if you need a ground-floor unit and want to check whether one is available. The ground-floor units have a 4 inch step at the front door, which could be difficult for people using wheelchairs or scooters.
