Comfort Suites Maingate East

The pizza from the pool bar was a nice surprise, and the guy there was super nice. We keep choosing this place for WDW because it’s affordable, the location is great, and breakfast is fine. The property feels safe, but set your expectations: it’s getting dingy and the spacious room still feels old and only okay. They always cleaned our room but never left fresh towels, which was a small nuisance after a long WDW day.

Across the street there’s a cute little amusement park and tourist area, and we were close to the parks, fast food, and other places to eat. Parking was sufficient, and the pool was there, though we didn’t use it in winter. Free parking mattered to us since we were already paying for Disney tickets and didn’t want another nightly parking charge on top of paying at the parks. We’re a family of five, and at about $100 a night before tax, this hotel fit our budget. But after the first night, I wished I’d spent around $200 more for somewhere nicer. The rooms felt like a cheap motel: dated and not very clean. The beds didn’t seem clean, the pillows smelled odd, the pullout sofa was dingy and needed shampooing, and the room had a strange old smell. The tub was stained and the torn shower curtain didn’t cover the whole opening. The toilet barely had any pressure, clogged every flush, and made a strange noise for minutes afterward. The toilet paper was awful, and our iron fell apart. Breakfast was mediocre, the staff weren’t friendly or helpful, and the elevators took ages with over 100 rooms and only two elevators. They advertise free rides to Disney, but the schedule was inconvenient and inflexible. For the price I paid, it was acceptable at the time, but next time I’ll spend more for comfort and better accommodations.

We booked a suite for our first family trip to Disney, and it was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy, and after a long day in the parks the shower had a great stream. The room was cleaned nicely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s close to Disney and the breakfast was great. Everything from check-in to the room and the area made for a very pleasant stay. We were happy with everything and will definitely return for another Disney trip. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. The rooms were nice, clean, and quiet, and the staff made us feel like family from check-in right through check-out. Kevin at the Tiki bar was especially great to deal with and gave excellent service every evening, whether we stopped by for a couple of drinks or dinner by the pool.
