Days Inn by Wyndham Kissimmee West

The desk clerk was courteous and refunded us, but I couldn’t stay there because my husband has breathing issues. My son was in the hospital, so we urgently needed somewhere close. We paid $90 per night, expecting more from a Days Inn BRAND, but the front office smelled strongly of curry. Our first room reeked of plumbing glue and had visible mold on the back wall by the bathroom. The desk changed our room, but the second was worse with the same problems, and I didn’t even check the bathrooms. The man at the desk said the epoxy paint they’d been using bothered him too. For the same price, we found a very clean room down the road that smelled amazing. Thank you, Fairfield.

I should’ve checked the reviews first. I’ve been sleeping in my truck while working 60+ hours a week, and badly needed a shower, but I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you have no other option. The few outlets didn’t work, the sheets and pillows were stained, and there was no TV remote or towels. At least I had my own towel, blanket, and pillow.

We couldn’t shower after a long day at Disney because there were no towels in the room and the hotel couldn’t get us any. We’d also been told there was an indoor pool, but on arrival they said there was only an outdoor one. The room was filthy, with dead insects and cockroaches on the floor, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The Expedia pictures were misleading. This was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Stay away if you want a good family vacation.

The rooms are okay for the price, and this is the cleanest motel in the area at this budget. The owner is helpful and cooperative, and the place seems to have plenty of potential to grow. Housekeeping needs to be replaced with more efficient staff, though, and it seems like they’re short on loyal workers.
