Kittery Inn and Suites

Breakfast at Kittery Inn and Suites was a real highlight, with an elevated buffet and some of the best French toast and coffee cake I've had. The manager, Robin, also made a difference, setting a friendly, welcoming, attentive tone that you don't often get at bigger hotels. We were mostly planning to spend time across the bridge in Portsmouth, NH, where staying would've cost at least triple what we paid in Kittery. It made the weekend with my girlfriend feel like a smart choice, not a compromise. The place has a cozy roadside inn feel with modern amenities, and our room was clean and quiet, more like a retreat than a generic chain hotel. Kittery Inn and Suites is an easy choice for a Portsmouth, NH visit.

I expected a cabin, but it felt like I was in a closet. I was so thirsty because the office closes at 8, the vending machines were low on stock, and the drinks weren't working. The “breakfast” wasn't great either. It didn't feel like they put much effort into looking after their customers' well-being. I'm never going there again.

My kids slept like they were at home, and the peaceful atmosphere made our evening on the balcony a real treat. We watched the sky get dark and listened to the quiet, grateful that the day had turned around. The room was spacious and cozy, the view was lovely, and the price felt more than fair. We'd traveled all the way from California and had just canceled our Motel 6 reservation after a long few days on the road. We were running low on energy and options when we found this place, and it completely changed the feel of the trip. I only wish we'd booked earlier. We would've gladly stayed for the rest of our trip, but they were fully booked, and now I see why. It's not fancy or flashy, just a genuine, charming place with heart and hospitality. Good people and a quiet spot that made the journey brighter. My only regret is not booking sooner.
