Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Klamath Falls

The pet policy was a letdown: they advertise as pet-friendly, but after we arrived they said our pets couldn't touch any of the grass. That defeats the point. We also weren't told online about the extra service fee for card payments, and no other way to pay was offered when we got there. When we questioned it, the manager said there was no way to take our concerns to the owners. With the fee surprise, poor communication, and misleading pet-friendly claim, I can't recommend staying here.

I left a $150 deposit that was supposed to come back at checkout. After we checked out Sunday, I called twice. First I was told they'd forgotten to process it; when I called again to ask why it was taking so long, the manager was rude and said I didn't need to call every day because she was working on it. It's Thursday now, and my bank shows only $50 of the $150 is being refunded, with no explanation for the missing amount despite her saying I'd get it all back. I wish I knew how to reach the owner.

You can sleep here, but don't expect much else. It's right beside the highway, with truck stops on both sides. The pool has apparently been out of use for ages, and the tarp over it seems permanent. Signs on site advertise vending machines and laundry, but there are neither. They do have ice, and there's no breakfast. Given how few options this town has, I don't know where else to suggest, but you might want to go somewhere else.

The pool was closed, and there was barely any parking. Half the rooms don't have parking by the door. The curtains had holes, there was no liner for the shower curtain, and the mini fridge wasn't clean. The included hair dryer had hair all over it. The room was only sort of clean, though I didn't see bugs. Ice was kept in a utility closet. The carpet runs up the wall, and the lamps had incandescent bulbs.
